    Snow Day

    It really started snowing here yesterday around 3 PM and it’s been going ever since.  We had some sleet for a few hours this morning which pretty much made the roads undrivable, so just about everyone I know had off from work today.  It’s nice to have an excuse to not really do anything at all.

    This song has been getting heavy rotation on XM Ethel and it’s been stuck in my head for the past week.  It’s called “Naive” by The Kooks.   The album isn’t half bad, either.

    The Schuylkill Canal

    I was doing a search for furniture stores in the area, and for some reason Google decided that a Wikipedia article on Mahantongo was a valid first result.  Curious, I had to click and read on  (it’s a Lenape Indian word for ‘good hunting grounds’, if you were interested).  A few clicks more led me to an article [...]
